Senior QA

Apply

The Redux.games team is the creator of My Perfect Hotel, a mobile game that has held top positions in global charts for over three years and has attracted more than 300 million players. In 2025, we launched a new project globally — Lost Prison, an idle RPG.

Improving the technical and product quality of our projects is very important to us. That's why we're looking for a Senior QA to strengthen our department.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct full manual testing of the mobile application on Android and iOS platforms (functional, integration, UX/UI, device and OS version compatibility, localization, basic load testing).
  • Plan and execute regression testing for releases and hotfixes, determine test priorities and risk areas.
  • Create and maintain test documentation: test plans, checklists, test cases, testing reports.
  • Prepare detailed bug reports, control their lifecycle, and verify fixes.
  • Participate in reviewing requirements and game designs (GDD), assess risks, and propose quality improvements before implementation.
  • Collaborate with developers, game designers, analysts, and producers to improve product quality and processes.
  • Participate in production incident analysis and root cause analysis.

Requirements

  • 4–5+ years of experience testing mobile games, including commercial releases on iOS and Android.
  • Deep understanding of the full game development cycle and the role of QA at all stages: from prototype and soft launch to global release and subsequent live-ops.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate problems, prioritize tasks, and advocate for quality standards.
  • Proactivity: the ability not only to find defects but also to propose improvements to processes, test coverage, and user experience.
  • Developed analytical and logical thinking: ability to build cause-and-effect relationships, see patterns in user and system behavior, and draw conclusions based on data and observations.
  • Experience owning features end-to-end: involvement in requirements elaboration, planning and estimation, preparing test coverage, testing at all stages, release support, and post-launch quality control.
  • Experience with client-server game architecture (authorization, progress, matchmaking, in-game events).
  • Experience with game engines (primarily Unity): launching and checking test builds, basic issue diagnostics.
  • Experience testing monetization: in-app purchases, subscriptions, ads, including third-party SDK integration checks.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab), basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid skills with traffic analysis and API tools (Postman, Charles Proxy, or similar).
  • Practical experience with analytics platforms such as Firebase Analytics, Appsflyer, Adjust, Amplitude.
  • Solid experience with the Atlassian ecosystem, primarily:
  • Jira — project and task management system (understanding and ability to work with filters, epics, releases, and workflows).
  • Confluence — tool for maintaining and structuring project and product documentation, specifications, and internal team knowledge.
  • Experience maintaining test documentation in specialized systems: TestRail, or closely comparable alternatives (Qase, Zephyr, Xray, Testmo).
  • Ability to structure test cases, group them by feature and release, keep them up to date, and track requirement coverage.

📌 Nice-to-have:

  • Test automation and related process automation: ability to identify routine tasks, describe and implement automated solutions (scripts, CI/CD integrations, auto-generated reports, notifications).
  • Ability to work in the Unity Editor, including checking game mechanics, balance, content, and integrations.
  • Basic experience with or understanding of test automation principles.
  • Good knowledge of different game genres and key product metrics (retention, monetization, progression).
  • Ability to work with JSON, parse and analyze API responses, log and reproduce problematic requests.
  • Experience with DBeaver or similar tools, basic SQL knowledge for checking data in the database.
  • Mentoring experience: onboarding new QA specialists, reviewing test cases, participating in improving the team's QA processes.
